A: Whole World Botanicals’ Royal Cat’s Claw Liquid Extract is double-extracted, with both alcohol and with water. 
However, we also make available Cat’s Claw Tea (shredded bark) in a container and you may make the Tea, just as the native people do when they have an ailment. Also, we have pieces of bark, about two inches wide and 4 to 6 inches long which we sell by the pound, which is even more economical and good for people who plan to use the bark for an extended period of time. To order the bark pieces please call (877) 885-5517. Each cup of tea should be made with about 5 grams of bark. If you have a sensitive stomach, you can add about ½ tsp. of lemon juice to 4 cups of water when you are making the tea. As the water will evaporate when you simmer the bark strips, you will need to add water to the liquid after preparing the tea, so that it again is back up to 4 cups. It may be stored in the refrigerator in a glass jar (or plastic) with a lid and kept for a week to 10 days
