My horse has developed hepatitis (cholangiohepatitis) and her veterinarian recommended that I give her your Royal Break-Stone Liver Flush. Can you tell me what kind of dose I would need for my 1100 pound horse? She had the West Nile Virus a few years ago and seems to have completely recovered, but now she’s got this new virus. None of my other horses have this.
A: Cholangiohepatitis in horses is usually the secondary result of a parasite infection. Your horse may have a weakened immune system from the West Nile Virus. Basically you would let the weight of the horse be your guide. Since each squirt from the bottle of Royal Break-Stone Liver Flush has about .8 of a milliliter you are going to need to give her about 6 droppers (about an inch high of liquid) three times a day at least 30 minutes before you feed her or two hours after she has eaten. Your vet can test her blood and see how she is doing.
